PL-900 Exam - Question 209

A company uses Microsoft 365 and Power Platform. You do not assign permissions to any licensed users.

Users are able to create and edit Power Apps canvas apps.

In which environment are users creating and editing the apps?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: A

When users are able to create and edit Power Apps canvas apps without being assigned specific permissions, they are typically working in the default environment. Every tenant in Microsoft 365 and Power Platform automatically has a default environment created, which is shared by all users. Users are added to the Maker role of this environment, allowing them to create and edit canvas apps. Production environment is the default environment in this context.

B. Test (Default) There is no Test environment anymore, so it must be considered the Default environment. "A single default environment is automatically created by Power Apps for each tenant and shared by all users in that tenant. Whenever a new user signs up for Power Apps, they're automatically added to the Maker role of the default environment." https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/environments-overview

If users are able to create and edit Power Apps canvas apps without assigned permissions to licensed users, it's likely that they are working in the Sandbox environment. In a Sandbox environment, users can develop and test apps without the need for individual licenses. It provides a space for app development and experimentation without affecting the production environment.

Sorry This is wrong should be in Default Environment. Users are creating and editing the apps in the default environment. The default environment is a special environment that is created automatically for each tenant in Microsoft 365 and Power Platform. The default environment allows users to create and edit canvas apps without requiring any additional permissions or licenses

It is possible that users are creating and editing Power Apps canvas apps in a test environment, but it cannot be confirmed without more information about the company's specific configuration and settings. It's worth mentioning that Sandbox and Test environments are different, Sandbox environments are intended for development, testing and experimentation, while Test environments are intended for testing of new features or functionalities before deploying them to a production environment.

C- Sandbox C - Sandbox The trick here is that the statement says that users don't have a license. If they don't have a license, the environment can only be the Sandbox.

The default environment is technically an instance of a production environment.
