Question 44

You work as a Systems Administrator for your company. The company has a subscription to Microsoft 365 that includes Phone System. All users in your company have a Microsoft 365 E3 license.

You plan to configure an auto attendant. The auto attendant will have a nested auto attendant. The nested auto attendant will be used to provide a second-level menu that the first-level auto attendant can connect calls to depending on the option selected by the caller.

You need to configure the auto attendants and required resources.

Which of the following actions should you perform?

    Correct Answer: D

When configuring auto attendants in Microsoft 365, resource accounts are needed to associate phone numbers with the auto attendants. Since you need to configure both a first-level auto attendant and a nested auto attendant, you must create two resource accounts, one for each auto attendant. Once the resource accounts are set up, you can proceed to create the auto attendants and associate them with the respective resource accounts. This ensures that each auto attendant has its own unique resource account, allowing for proper call routing and menu configuration.

Discussion
ToulanOption: D

D is correct as you will need the resource account while you create the AA.

Kman72Option: D

fricked question. You don't need a RA to build an AA. C and D are both correct, D is just easier to assign during the AA build process, but you can create and assigned a RA to an already existing AA. D is "correcter'ish"...

TyfftyOption: D

Create the resource account first then the new AA wizard will allow you to select them

TyfftyOption: D

D is correct. You cannot assign the same resource account to multiple AA.

Exam103Option: B

I think B is the correct answer, adding a resource account is not mandatory. Only if you want to add a number to the AA, but the nested one doesn't need a number afaik.

Exam103

I was mistaken, all auto attendants must have an associated resource account. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/modules/manage-phone-system-for-microsoft-teams/06-configure-auto-attendants See section "Resource account"

muthupandimkOption: D

D, is correct. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/create-a-phone-system-auto-attendant

OomensRobOption: A

I don't see the logic to create two resource accounts. Is this required because the 2nd AA is nested in the first? Because the question does not state that a specific (service) number is required per AA it can only be prohibited by the nesting of the AA's. Is this correct?

shurst88

In the environment now: You go to TAC-Voice-Resource Accounts-AA

BobaloOption: D

D is correct, but the answer is silly. You would normally create the AA and let the resource account be created automatically as part of the process.

TechExpertOption: D

D is correct

certgreedOption: D

correct answer is D

blackbic

seems a bit silly the semantics of c&d being the same. I understand the ordering, but it didn't ask for a specific order.

Radweld

Think the key here is you can't create an AA without having the Resource Account first.

banderas

This is not correct since I just created an AA without adding a ressource account.
