Question 105

You are implementing a model-driven app for a national chain of retail stores.

You have the following requirements:

• Store employees must be able to view data for their store only.

• Regional managers must be able to view data for all stores in a region.

• The reporting team must be able to view all data across all stores.

You need to configure system security.

Which three security methods should you use? Each correct answer presents part of the solution.

NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.

    Correct Answer: B, D, E

To implement a model-driven app with specific data viewing permissions, you should use security roles, owner teams, and Azure AD security groups. Security roles are essential for defining permissions on a granular level, ensuring that store employees, regional managers, and the reporting team can access the appropriate data. Owner teams allow for more flexible assignment of ownership and access rights to team-based resources, fitting the store-level data access requirement. Azure AD security groups are useful for managing user identities and access at a broader level, such as for regional managers and the reporting team. The account and manager hierarchies do not directly address the specified requirements of geographical and team-based data visibility.

I agree with CDE; AI says ABD. I think our jobs are safe for now!

JOETIFFOptions: BDE

I would go for BDE - I can't see the manager hierachy - what is that in PP or Dataverse? Users must be somewhere identifiedy and grouped.

In PP https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/hierarchy-security

Seems correct, see: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/developer/data-platform/use-access-teams-owner-teams-collaborate-share-information.

Why tho? I just use process of elimination... Account and Manager Hierarchy have nothing to do with the requirements there for its the other 3. Think about the solution and what you would do... its PL-600 not 200. Just my thoughts... maybe im wrong... or maybe im not.... what if I am? .... hmmm .... prob not tho.... maybe

Mariachi007

Can you please explain why "manager hierarchy has nothing to do with the requirements"? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/hierarchy-security

Requirements do not mention anything related to position hierarchy. No super-subordinate relationships. Only geography, store affiliation and broad access needs.
