MB-320 Exam - Question 106

A company produces homeopathic lotions for pain relief and uses Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management. You have replaced the vendor of a product's active ingredient with a new vendor. The new vendor is supplying the ingredient at a higher concentration of 25 percent.

The previous vendor concentration was 15 percent. You are consistently running out of two of the complimentary ingredients.

You need to update the formula and ingredient settings to allow for better order planning.

What should you do?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: D

When a new vendor supplies an ingredient at a higher concentration, it is necessary to adjust the target value of the attribute for the active ingredient to reflect this new concentration level. This ensures that the correct amount of the ingredient is used in the formula, maintaining the product's efficacy and consistency. Modifying the target value for the active ingredient adapts the formula to the new concentration, thus resolving the issue of running out of complimentary ingredients.

A is correct using compensatory factor value as negative opposing effect can be added since higher concentration effect needs to be reduced.

I agree it's an opposing effect. A is correct.

D looks correct to me as we need to rescue the level of active ingredient since it is having higher concentration to have same ratio. The target level of a batch attribute represents the estimated percentage of an active ingredient in a product. The minimum and maximum values represent the accepted deviation from the target level. They can be used, for example, as an accepted tolerance for batches at product receipt. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/production-control/batch-balancing
