local group policy on client 2. Either Computer or User config will apply to all users on that client. The User Configuration - Admin Templates - Windows Components - has options to disabled Autofill for both "Internet Explorer" and "Microsoft Edge" so just disable for both. "Microsoft Edge" = Configure Autofill (Disable it) "Internet Explorer" = Disable Autocomplete on Forms (Enable it) + Turn on the Auto-complete feature for user names and passwords on forms (Disable it)

It looks like the behaviour changes with different versions. looks like pre–Chromium Edge might have used: "Configure Password Manager". The new Edge seems to need an updated policy file downloaded for the ADMX template. Then you get the 'Password manager and protection' sub folder with 'Enable saving passwords to the password manager'. It looks like passwords already saved might still be usable. This would need more lab testing to check.

How about : Gpedit.msc User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > > Disable AutoComplete for Forms.

This is an error . Computer Configuration in Group Policy is applied to computers, regardless of who logs on to the computers. User Configuration in Group Policy is applied to users, regardless of which computer they log on to. Therefore for this question use Computer Configuration

This is a tad misleading. No browser information is given, so, we can be forgiven for thinking that it's Internet Explorer or Edge. Anthony_2770 has one option, however, you can simply open up the Internet Options from IE and disable Autofill of Usernames and Passwords there, which may be easier. Edge doesn't have an Autofill section anymore since the update but the previous version of Edge did have a section titled Autofill settings in the right-hand-side fly-out menu where you could turn off Save passwords option. This is still available to do in the Password area of Edge. It might be an idea to do both of these for the fullest answer, but I don't know.

I thought the same about doing it in the browser, however (I believe) that would only apply to the signed in user. The question asks to apply it to client 2 so don't think doing it in the browser would work. It definitely should specify to use Edge as I presumed you would use Internet Explorer.

I think answer must include all Users in this PC. When you change browser settings it works only for this current user.

Let's assume that this is MS Edge since IE has been deprecated. The procedure seems correct.

Do you have any working final solution for ths question? I have tried the "Solution", but it didn't work at all. Not even after restarting or gpupdating. When I try to log on a page it will offer to save the username and password, despite the group policy change. So I don't know what are the effects of these options. If I changed the browser settings in Edge and IE manually than I can prevent the websites to offer the passwords to be saved. But it can't be the solution because it would be applied on the account I did the change. So I should log into each account and modify the browser settings. I hope I won't see this question on the exam, or the instructions will be more clear. :)

The test changed on August 5th. IE came out of content, just Edge. Configure AutoFill and Configure Password Manager, I just tested and were the names shown to me. Does it look like the build of Win 10 is 1809 with the change from just recent still the same or what would it be?
