A company produces multiple products that require an installation kit that includes 50 components.

Yes, also there is no option at the line of a Formula (just None, Filler, Compensating and Active) to set the item as phantom. You set it first (and only) as phantom in the Engineering tab. When you launch a production order for another item that includes said phantom, the production order explodes the article and it's components are shown in the production BOM.
