102-500 Exam - Question 15

Which of the following statements is true if the UID of a regular user is identical to the GID of a group?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: C

UIDs (User IDs) and GIDs (Group IDs) are independent of each other in a UNIX-like operating system. This means that even if a regular user's UID is identical to a group's GID, it does not cause any conflict or ambiguity. Therefore, both the user and the group will still be available and functional.

Every time I view diskussion I expect useful information. Instead it's just babamalik the retard crying loudly "repeated question" ... dude, shut up!

Well no offence Charlie but Baba is right and if you want useful info then refer to the original question and so that you know as answer C says that user and groups ID are independent of each other and hence makes no difference if they are they same

C is correct The user and group are independent of each other, so both having the same ID doesn't affect either of them.
