JN0-363 Exam - Question 62

Click the Exhibit button.

Referring to the exhibit, where should next-hop-self-policy be applied to alter the next-hop value?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: D

The next-hop-self policy is typically applied in situations to alter the next-hop attribute for routes being advertised to internal BGP (iBGP) peers. By default, iBGP does not modify the next-hop attribute, meaning if a route is learned via eBGP, the next-hop attribute remains unchanged when advertised to iBGP peers. In this case, the next-hop-self policy should be applied as an export policy for the group int-64503 to alter the next-hop to self, ensuring that iBGP peers receive the correct next-hop address within the AS.

I think the answer should be D because iBGP will not change the next-hop ip by default.
