JN0-664 Exam - Question 59

You are configuring a BGP signaled Layer 2 VPN across your MPLS enabled core network.

In this scenario, which statement is correct?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: B

When configuring a BGP signaled Layer 2 VPN across an MPLS enabled core network, it is essential to assign a unique site number to each attached site's configuration. This unique site number helps in distinguishing between different sites within the same VPN and is critical for maintaining the integrity and separation of the VPN instances.

I seriously don't understand how you able to come up with this idea. Route distinguisher, which must be unique for each routing instance on the PE router. It is used to distinguish the addresses in one VPN from those in another VPN.
