CCSP Exam - Question 95

Which of the following would make it more likely that a cloud provider would be unwilling to satisfy specific certification requirements?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: C

Cloud providers often serve multiple customers using a shared infrastructure, known as multitenancy. Multitenancy allows providers to optimize resources and cost efficiency, but it can complicate the process of meeting specific certification requirements for individual customers. Achieving certifications typically demands significant adjustments and customized configurations that may affect all tenants sharing the same infrastructure. As a result, cloud providers may be unwilling to pursue certifications tailored to the unique needs of a single customer, since this would require changes that could disrupt other customers or reduce overall efficiency.

Regulations make providers willing, not unwilling. This answer is Multitenancy, as they are unwilling to impose on all customers

I am wondering if the question was supposed to read "Which of the following would make it more likely that a cloud provider would be unwilling to satisfy specific CUSTOMER requirements?" If so, that would make the answer of "multi-tenancy" make complete sense. Otherwise, it does not.

Copilot said D.Regulation. C. Multitenancy: While multitenancy is a key aspect of cloud environments, it doesn’t directly impact a cloud provider’s willingness to comply with specific certification requirements. Multitenancy refers to multiple customers sharing the same infrastructure, but it doesn’t inherently hinder certification efforts. D. Regulation: This factor tends to have a more substantial influence. Compliance with varying legal requirements and regulations can significantly impact a cloud provider’s ability to meet specific certifications. It often involves complex processes and adjustments. Given this context, the more relevant answer is D. Regulation.
