A small-sized company transitioning to a cloud environment can gain considerable and cost-effective security services. Cloud service providers invest heavily in sophisticated security measures, including physical security, infrastructure security, and continuous monitoring. This allows small companies to benefit from advanced security setups that they would not be able to afford if they were to build and maintain these systems themselves. Despite arguments suggesting that development, testing, or regulatory compliance might also benefit from cloud services, increased security is typically the most significant and cost-effective advantage for small companies moving to the cloud.
I think its the development.
All of these answers are correct
Moving to cloud doesn't improve security posture, with cloud since trust boundary changes you might need to invest additional money to be just as secure as on-prem. I guess A is the right answer. companies spend a lot to comply with regulations, cloud provides lot of controls at a fraction of price. e.g SOX requires record to retain for 7 years, in cloud this can be achieved by minimal cost as opposed to on-prem
I don't know if these questions are gotten from past CCSP cert exam, this question would be have been logical if it said what the priority of the small-sized company is.
D. Development. Cloud environments offer scalable resources and tools that significantly lower the cost and complexity of development processes. Small companies can leverage these benefits to compete with larger corporations by using advanced development platforms and services without massive upfront investments.
B. Security
Agreed, all of the answers are correct ...
Moving to a cloud environment allows a small-sized company to gain enterprise-grade security services that would otherwise be too expensive to implement on-premises. Cloud providers invest heavily in security infrastructure, compliance, encryption, monitoring, and threat detection, offering cost-effective solutions on a pay-as-you-go basis. Why Not the Others? A. Regulatory: Cloud providers help with compliance frameworks, but regulatory compliance still requires organization-specific policies and legal oversight. C. Testing: Cloud environments are great for testing, but security benefits (e.g., DDoS protection, IAM, threat detection) provide greater cost savings compared to running security on-premises. D. Development: Cloud platforms enhance development with scalable resources, but security is the area where small companies gain the most significant cost-effectiveness compared to building security in-house.
