CBAP Exam - Question 200

Which of the following roles helps assess the data requirements of a project, identifies data assets, and helps the project team complete data modeling requirements?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: D

An information architect helps assess the data requirements of a project, identifies data assets, and assists the project team with data modeling. Their primary role involves structuring, organizing, and managing information, which are critical aspects of data modeling and requirements assessment. End users and subject matter experts provide insights and context but do not typically handle the technical responsibilities associated with data modeling. A database analyst focuses on the technical aspects of database management rather than the broader scope of identifying data requirements and assets for a project, making the information architect the most suitable role for the described tasks.

Only 2 of the answers are in the BABOK v3, and the CBAP is strict to the BABOK, so I'm wondering about the origination of this question.

These info are provided by ISME and Information Architect is one of them (BABOK v3).

it should be ISME, while solution architect, is mentioned 2 times in the babok but nothing helps with this questions.

Ideally speaking, it should be Implementation SME. As BABOK v3 does not define Information architect role but specifies it under the definition of Implementation SME, hence, it is correct. Implementation SME is correct becasue of following 2 reasons (BABOK v3 10.15.2) * Logical and physical data models include elements specific to the solutions they support, and are generally developed by stakeholders with expertise in implementing particular technical solutions. * Physical data model is used by implementation subject matter experts to describe how a database is physically organized. It addresses concerns like performance, concurrency, and security.
