Before investing further in the project, a customer and the key stakeholders of the project want to be able to visualize the final product. Which elicitation technique should the business analyst (BA) select?
When a customer and key stakeholders want to visualize the final product before further investment, the most appropriate elicitation technique is Prototyping. Prototyping involves creating a preliminary version of the final product which can visually represent its appearance and capabilities. This helps stakeholders understand what the final product will look like and how it will function, facilitating better decision-making and feedback. Interface Analysis, Observation, and Reverse Engineering do not provide the same level of visual and interactive representation as Prototyping does.
Answer should be B- Prototyping. It cannot be observation Firstly, the question is asking for BA to select an elicitation Technique. If BA selects for example Observation, what will be the result of that? only BA will understand or able to visualize. In this scenario the final user is the Customer, so for the customer to visualize BA needs to provide some form of prototype, hence BA has to do Prototyping as elicitation.
It seems to me prototyping too. Although it is not listeded technique in elicitation task in Babok. Therefore observation might be true

I believe Ans- C explanation- Before investing further---means project in progress Observers can gain realistic and practical insight about the activities and their tasks within an overall process. Productivity can be viewed firsthand and realistically compared against any established performance standards or metrics.
Answer B BABOK 7.1.6 - Prototyping is used to assist the stakeholders in visualizing the appearance of a planned solution
Prototyping
Pg.141 Prototyping: used to assist the stakeholders in visualizing the appearance and capabilities of a planned solution.
B - Prototyping
Visualize final product? Prototype, certainly.
Why should you even think of Observation after they said Visualize the final Product. The only technique that looks logical is Prototyping B.
