CBAP Exam - Question 434

The business analyst (BA) works in a global company and the majority of stakeholders are located in different countries. The BA already explained the core requirements during the initial meetings. However, due to the time zone differences it has been cumbersome to organize further meetings. What method should the BA use so the stakeholders can review the document before final approval?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: AB

Given that stakeholders are located in different countries and time zone differences make organizing further meetings cumbersome, the most efficient method for ensuring all stakeholders can review the document before final approval is e-mail. This method allows stakeholders to review the information at their convenience and avoids the scheduling conflicts inherent in real-time communication methods like group collaboration and brainstorming. Additionally, e-mail provides a written record of the communication, which can be important for tracking changes and ensuring accountability.

Ans-A. Group Collaboration Explanation-Group collaboration: used to communicate the package to a group of relevant stakeholders at the same time. It allows immediate discussion about the information and related issues.(Babok page-70) Not B: • E-mail or other non-verbal methods: used to communicate the package when there is a high maturity level of information that will need little or no verbal explanation to support it.

Email is correct. Email allows stakeholders to review the document (within a proposed time limit) before final approval when they are geographically dispersed and having difficulty in organizing meetings due to different time zones. All other options require the stakeholders to be available at a particular time which is cumbersome and hence not the feasible options.
