Which one of the following terms is not a business analysis planning and monitoring approach?
Requirements elicitation is an essential part of business analysis but it is not specifically a planning and monitoring approach. Planning and monitoring approaches focus on defining and managing the methods and strategies for carrying out business analysis activities. Structured walkthroughs, decision analysis, and process modeling are all techniques that can be used to plan and monitor these activities, while requirements elicitation pertains to the actual gathering of business requirements.
C ..A is part of conduct elicitation
Structured walkthrough (BABOK v2) = Reviews (V3)
From Babok 2 - p.23 Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring - Plan Business Analysis Approach Techniques - Decision Analysis (9.8): May be used to rate available methodologies against the organizational needs and objectives. - Process Modeling (9.21): Process Models can be used to define and document the business analysis approach. - Structured Walkthrough (9.30): This can be used as a means of validating a created, selected, or tailored business analysis approach.
I am in agreement, it should be A and not C. Requirements Elicitation is in my opinion one of the key elements of Business Analysis. Any other comments?
