HPE6-A45 Exam - Question 73

Refer to the exhibit.

AOS-Switches will enforce 802.1X authentication on edge ports. The company has two RADIUS servers, which are meant to provide redundancy and load sharing of requests. The exhibit shows the planned RADIUS setting to deploy to the switches.

Which adjustment to the plan should administrators make in order to meet the customers' requirements?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: D

To provide redundancy and load sharing for 802.1X authentication requests, administrators should change the order in which the RADIUS servers are specified on half of the switches. This ensures that if a RADIUS server becomes unavailable, the other server can still handle the authentication requests. Additionally, by alternating the order, the load is balanced between the two RADIUS servers, meeting the customer's requirement for redundancy and load sharing.

IT can't be C, due to redundancy criteria. So you need both server IPs present. Also, servers are selected in top-down order. If you want to load balance servers, place half to start with the first IP, and other half to start with second.
