AOS-Switch runs IGMP in data-driven mode. What behavior does it exhibit?
AOS-Switch, running IGMP in data-driven mode, is designed to manage multicast traffic efficiently. In this mode, the switch drops multicast traffic for groups that do not have any members, which helps in conserving bandwidth and preventing unnecessary traffic on the network.
A is correct https://techhub.hpe.com/eginfolib/networking/docs/switches/WB/15-18/5998-8166_wb_2920_mrg/content/ch01s04.html#s_Automatic_fast-leave_IGMP
Yup istellas is right. On HP switches that do support data-driven IGMP ("Smart" IGMP), when unregistered multicasts are received the switch automatically filters (drops) them. Thus, the sooner the IGMP leave is processed, the sooner this multicast traffic stops flowing.
