HPE6-A71 Exam - Question 61

An administrator moves an AP from Campus 1 to Campus 2. At the Campus 2, the moved AP does not connect to a controller and download an AP Group configuration.

Which process should the administrator perform to reset the AP back to its initial default state?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: B

To reset an AP back to its initial default state, you need to use the apboot mode, which is a recovery mode for Aruba APs. Executing the factory_reset command from apboot mode will reset the AP to its factory default settings, effectively clearing any existing configurations and allowing it to connect to a new controller. This ensures the AP can start fresh, reconnect, and download the necessary configurations.

That applies for a Central-managed AP, not for a CAP. A CAP can be resetted using apboot and factory_reset
