Cloud Digital Leader Exam - Question 25

Your organization is developing a mobile app and wants to select a fully featured cloud-based compute platform for it.

Which Google Cloud product or feature should your organization use?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: B

Firebase is specifically designed as a platform for developing mobile and web applications. It includes services for backend, authentication, and real-time databases, making it a fully featured cloud-based compute platform tailored for mobile apps. App Engine, while a robust PaaS, is generally used for broader application deployment and scaling purposes but is not specifically tailored to mobile app development in the way Firebase is.

this doesnt mean you choose correct answer, because exam wont show you where you made misstakes after passing and you dont even know how many misstakes you made, iam still leaning to B for Firebase because only diffrence between app engine and firebase is that Firebase is recommended for mobile app development

You got it wrong. Maybe you are confusing it with Firestore.

It's a tricky question, because it refers to compute engine, and according to Google cheatsheet, Compute services do not include Firebase, but App Engine is included. However, one must notice, that Firebase is part of a completely separate ecosystem of services, dedicated to mobile apps, which also includes specialized compute services. So, the correct answer is B. See https://googlecloudcheatsheet.withgoogle.com/

D: App Engine Firebase is a mobile and web application development platform, and while it provides features for backend services, authentication, and real-time database, it may not be a fully featured cloud-based compute platform for all types of applications. App Engine, on the other hand, is a fully managed serverless platform that allows you to build and deploy applications without managing the underlying infrastructure. If your organization is developing a mobile app and wants a cloud-based compute platform, App Engine would be a more suitable choice. Firebase could still be used for specific features within the app, but it may not cover all the compute needs for the application.

"App Engine." Google App Engine is a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offering that simplifies application deployment and scaling, making it well-suited for web and mobile app backends, web services, and APIs. It allows you to focus on writing code while Google manages the infrastructure, making it a good choice for many app development scenarios.
