nse7_sdw-70 Exam - Question 49

Refer to the exhibit.

The exhibit shows the details of a session and the index numbers of some relevant interfaces on a FortiGate appliance that supports hardware offloading. Based on the information shown in the exhibits, which two statements about the session are true? (Choose two.)

Show Answer
Correct Answer: ABC

The session shows asymmetric traffic with the original direction flowing from port3 to port2, as indicated by 'dev=7->5/5->7'. The reply direction also flows from port2 to port3 based on the same string. Thus, the traffic originally flowing from port3 to port2 (option C) and the reply direction of traffic flows from port2 to port3 (option A) are correct statements about this session. Auxiliary sessions typically refer to flow-specific sessions managed by the NPUs (Network Processing Units), but there’s no clear indication from the provided exhibit text that the auxiliary session can be offloaded to the hardware. The information available from the exhibit does not conclusively support options B or D.

AC is correct as in direction dev=7-> 6/6->7. The log should have msg=auxiliary for logs to be off loaded to aux/hardware.

its A and B This command will only show the session if you want to see the aux msg then you need to do Debug for the traffic flow

A and B - compare the first part where the traffic flows via port1 too. Also auxilliary sessions are handled by CPU and no HW offload. You can notice the difference in HW offloading counters too between the Original and Reply outputs.
