nse5_fmg-70 Exam - Question 13

Refer to the exhibit.

A service provider administrator has assigned a global policy package to a managed customer ADOM named My_ADOM, which has four policy packages. The customer administrator has access only to My_ADOM.

How can customer or service provider administrators remove both global header and footer policies from the policy package named Shared_Package?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: B

The service provider administrator can unassign both policies from the global ADOM. A global ADOM allows the creation and management of global policies, including header and footer policies that can be applied across multiple ADOMs. These global policies must be managed and unassigned at the global ADOM level. Since the customer administrator has access only to their specific ADOM (My_ADOM) and not the global ADOM, they cannot unassign the global policies. Therefore, the responsibility of unassigning the global header and footer policies falls on the service provider administrator within the global ADOM.

FortiManager_7.0_Study_Guide-Online.pdf page 17: In the global ADOM layer, you create header and footer policy rules. You can assing these policy rules to multiple ADOMs.

The wording in this question is a little misleading/confusing. First of all C/D are not correct since the customer cannot make changes to global policies due to him not having access rights based on the description. Global policies are in the GLOBAL ADOM and there they can be assigned to one (or more) ADOMs. So the correct answer is that inside the GLOBAL ADOM you can unassign the global policy from the myADOM stated in the text. Both A and B could be read that way but B sounds more specific to the GLOBAL ADOM while A sounds like you could remove a global policy assignment within an ADOM which is not possible.

But letter A sounds to me "more likely correct" because what we can see on FortiManager_7.0_Study_Guide-Online.pdf page 254: In the example shown on this slide, the default global policy package is added to the four packages except default and coloned policy packages in the MyADOM ADOM.
