Running the command 'set resolve-ip enable' in the FortiView settings on FortiGate is intended to resolve the destination IP addresses to hostnames in FortiView on FortiAnalyzer. This configuration helps administrators identify the destination hosts more easily by converting IP addresses to readable hostnames in the analysis and logs.

Note that SOC/FortiView has its own settings which control if the destination IP addresses should be resolved or not, as this would use the FortiAnalyzer side system DNS servers to resolve both source and destination.
