How are monitored LTM device objects marked when the bigd process is stopped?
When the bigd process, which is responsible for health checks on monitored objects in an LTM device, stops, the status of the monitored objects will remain unchanged because no new health checks can be performed. Since bigd is needed to determine the health status of the objects, their status cannot be updated until the process is restarted and normal monitoring resumes.
It remains unchanged because once the service is stopped it will not do any checks, so it does not reach the number of negative responses to make pool members unavailable.
