Question 61

The incoming client IP address is 195.64.45.52 and the last five connections have been sent to members A, C, E, D and B. Given the virtual server, pool, and persistence definitions and statistics shown in the above graphic, which member will be used for the next connection?

    Correct Answer: C

The next connection from the client IP address 195.64.45.52 will be sent to 10.10.20.3:80. Even though this member is currently disabled, the persistence table shows an entry for 195.64.0.0 mapping to 10.10.20.3:80 with an age of 22 seconds. The persistence profile settings prioritize maintaining the existing session persistency over the current status of the node (unless the status is 'Force Disabled'). Therefore, the disabled status will still allow persisted connections to be directed there.

Discussion
ira_ciscoOption: C

Answer is C. Even if the status is Disabled, the VS will still accept connections for a currently persisted session. If the status was "Force Disabled" then the new connection will be load balanced according to the defined algorithm.

WassuOption: C

C is disabled, but if you see persist entry , 195.64 , lowest connection is still on C and disabled would allow persist connection to still persist , no new connection would go to C but persist does, which make option C still correct.
