ASM Exam - Question 28

Inexperienced Agile teams tend to overestimate how much they will achieve in the first Sprint.

Which project management activity will be most important in this case?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: B

Inexperienced Agile teams often struggle with providing accurate estimates due to their lack of experience. Using Planning Poker can help the team arrive at a more reliable estimate by leveraging collective team knowledge and promoting discussions. This method involves team members estimating the effort required for each task, promoting consensus and reducing the likelihood of overestimation. Determining velocity is not possible in the first sprint as there is no historical data available yet, and stakeholder management is not directly related to the estimation process.

I can't see how stakeholder management should solve this problem. Determine a velocity and plan accordingly is the only answer which is a solution to the problem.

My opinion: As it is the first Sprint, we cannot talk about Velocity and therefore the A cannot be correct. C can also not to do with estimation of Sprint, therefore It could be the B as only choice.
