Where are the Host I/Os directed to when the Storage Group is in a Non-Disruptive Migration CutoverReady state?
When a Storage Group is in a Non-Disruptive Migration CutoverReady state, the I/Os are directed to both the source and target arrays. This ensures a seamless transition and data integrity during the migration process. Directing I/Os to both arrays helps in maintaining synchronization between the source and target, thus preventing data loss or inconsistency.
The NDM session goes from a Created state to a CutoverReady state after the host rescan is performed and the target devices are discoverable. After this is complete, I/O issued by the application will be directed to either the source or the target arrays through the host multipathing software.
