Show Answer
Correct Answer: C

On a PowerMax or VMAX Family array, the default Dynamic I/O distribution mode setting when a Storage Group is associated with Host I/O Limits is 'Never'. This means that the distribution of I/O limits remains static and is evenly distributed across the directors in the Port Group.

Host I/O distribution is governed by the Dynamic Mode setting. The default mode is Never which implies a static even distribution of configured limits across the participating directors in the Port Group.

In addition to the previous static only limit distribution now covered by the default ‘Never’ mode, the new dynamic capabilities will be governed by two new modes of operation: ‘OnFailure’ and ‘Always’.

Dynamic I/O Distribution–Mode can be Never, OnFailure, or Always › Never: Implies static even distribution (default) › OnFailure: On a failure, I/O limits are redistributed to online ports › Always: I/O limits are dynamically distributed based on demand
