What will happen to the copy process?
The Reserved Capacity for a PowerMax Storage Resource Pool (SRP) is set at 15%, and the allocation has reached 85%. This means that the SRP is near its full capacity. When this happens, the copy process to the target in Copy mode will halt. This is to prevent the SRP from running out of space entirely, ensuring stability and data integrity of the storage system.
Copy to targets stops and cannot complete. This includes SnapVX linked targets, Clone copy mode sessions, and TimeFinder/Mirror BCVs. Copy resumes if free space is made available in the SRP, or if the Reserved Capacity value is lowered enough.
