PAM-DEF Exam - Question 90

To use PSM connections while in the PVWA, what are the minimum safe permissions a user or group will need?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: BC

To use PSM (Privileged Session Manager) connections while in the PVWA (Privileged Web Access), a user or group needs the 'Use Accounts' permission. This permission allows the user to connect to remote systems and applications via PSM. The 'List Accounts' permission is not strictly required for the minimum safe permissions but can be helpful for additional functionalities. The 'Retrieve Accounts,' and 'Access Safe without confirmation' permissions are not necessary for establishing PSM connections in this context.

@TacoTeo you can't view the Local Account if you don't have List permissions so correct answer is A. ( how you execute without read permissions?).

As per https://docs.cyberark.com/Product-Doc/OnlineHelp/PAS/Latest/en/Content/PASIMP/PSSO-PSMConnecPVWA.htm?TocPath=End%20User%7CConnect%20to%20Accounts%7CPrivileged%20Single%20Sign-On%7C_____2 It says: "From the PVWA, you can connect through PSM to a variety of systems and applications such as Windows machines, SSH devices such as UNIX, Linux, routers and switches, VMWare machines, databases. You require Use account permissions in the Safe to connect to remote machines." So it might answer C also.... :/
