Which permissions are needed for the Active Directory user required by the Windows Discovery process?
The Active Directory user required by the Windows Discovery process needs Read permissions. Read permissions allow the user to scan and gather information from the organizational unit and its sub-units within Active Directory, which is sufficient for the discovery process.
D is the answer Read permissions on the Active Directory https://docs.cyberark.com/Product-Doc/OnlineHelp/PrivCloud-SS/Latest/en/Content/Privilege%20Cloud/privCloud-accounts-discovery.htm#Permissi
D should be correct. "The user must have read permissions in the OU and all sub-OUs to scan."
On Windows machines In Active Directory On the target machines Read permissions in the OU to scan and all sub-OUs Domain Administrator an equivalent domain user with the following permissions: Read permissions on the Active Directory Local administrative rights for Windows on the target machine Permissions to logon remotely to the target machine
I do not think that D is the good answer. Windows discovery means access to the Active Directory and access to the Windows machines. Access to AD requires only a read permission but access to all Windows domain machines requires a Domain Admin (or equivalent) permission
