Who is responsible for the proper rights management and configuration of exposed controls in the management plane?
The cloud consumer is responsible for the proper rights management and configuration of exposed controls in the management plane. While cloud providers offer the infrastructure and some management tools, it is ultimately the consumer's duty to ensure that these controls are properly configured to meet their security requirements. This responsibility includes setting permissions, managing access controls, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
The cloud user is, again, responsible for proper rights management and configuration of exposed controls in the management plane. When virtual firewalls and/or monitoring don’t meet security needs, the consumer may need to compensate with a virtual security appliance or host security agent. This falls under cloud infrastructure security and is covered in depth in Domain 7.
