Question 234

The management team at a healthcare organization is concerned about being able to access the daily vital records if there is an IT disaster that causes both servers and the network to be offline. Which of the following backup types can the organization use to mitigate this risk?

    Correct Answer: D

In the event of an IT disaster where both servers and the network are offline, digital backups such as tape, cloud, and disk would not be accessible. Print backups do not rely on electronic systems and thus remain accessible regardless of IT infrastructure failures. Therefore, print is the most reliable backup method in this scenario.

D. Print No servers and no network means we failover to paper records and the whiteboard.

srmoore1Option: D

The answer is D. If there is an IT disaster that causes both servers to go down. Print documents will be the only thing avaiable due to the fact that all other options need a computer

MrSOption: B

The answer is B. Cloud. This is a type of backup that can mitigate the risk of being unable to access the daily vital records if there is an IT disaster that causes both servers and the network to be offline. A cloud backup means that the data is copied and stored on a remote cloud server that can be accessed over the internet. A cloud backup offers the benefits of off-site data protection, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, but may have less control, security, and performance than other backup types.

MrS

After a second look, the cloud can't be accessed in case the network goes down. But Disks, Tapes, and Print files won't be accessible in case of a disaster either. Such a stupid question!

Exactly, I also vote for B as it would be the easiest option in case of such disaster. Someone would create a data hotspot and access the records that way. I dont see how are you going to read the data from tapes if your infra is down

ccoli

"IT disaster" so print would be available.

tame_rabbitOption: D

If servers and network are down disk or print may be available. I think many health care providers have paper as a backup so Print seems most likely to me

hasquaatiOption: D

Tricky question. If servers and network is down, how do we access "VITAL" information? Only way is print. I have worked in organizations that print out critical and vital information and store them in safe's just in case the network and servers go down.
