When migrating company data to the cloud, the most significant security concern that needs to be addressed is data exposure. During the transfer process, sensitive data might be intercepted or accessed by unauthorized parties. Ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of the data through robust encryption and secure transfer protocols is crucial to mitigate this risk.
I think that the answer is B. Latency is something to take into account but is something you test and prepare prior to migration, there is nothing you can prepare to fix latency "During" migration. I would say exposure due to right encryption and how data is handle by the cloud makes more sense. Also Data loss is an issue and corruption of files can happen during migration so how do you handle that. Sadly this is a typical CompTIA question with not enough context to come up with proper answer.
I think data exposure due to data being in the cloud.
Option B is correct
Would there not be a possibility of latency "during" migration? The data exposure due to data being in the cloud would be a risk once it is there, the question says "during". I am just trying to think like "THEY" do. I think the key word is "during" and I could see some latency occurring during this time........along with exposure, but exposure is sort of a permanent issue, not only seen during the transition.
I think very similarly. Latency is related to "A" in "CIA triad". So during migration, availability might be the issue.
i could also say that data exposure is an issue with C, or that data loss is an issue with I. Also CIA is about access to data at rest not during migration. According to link below step 5 talks about encryption to prevent exposure during the transmit. https://caylent.com/blog/data/7-steps-to-improve-data-security-during-cloud-migration
Buckethead makes sense here for sure. so do the others.
Data exposure refers to the risk that sensitive data may be accessed by unauthorized parties. This can occur when data is stored in the cloud, as the data may be more vulnerable to being accessed by hackers or other malicious actors. To address this concern, the Chief Information Officer should ensure that the cloud provider has robust security measures in place to protect the data, such as encryption, access controls, and monitoring.
In my opinion, latency is not a security issue.
I believe the logic here is that latency can impact service availability. Availability is something that cyber security has to account for
A: Performance concern, not security concern. C: Data loss is also a significant concern but is more about ensuring data integrity and availability rather than securit D: data management and compliance, it is not primarily a security concern
no brainer.. data owner risks data exposure. Most risk is always the data owner because data itself is the most valuable asset besides $$ for a business.
