Question 60

Scenario: A Citrix Administrator is required to maximize the usage of the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Site by enabling users to access the Site from external devices and reducing the cost and the effort required to maintain the infrastructure. The desktops for the users are provisioned using Citrix Provisioning.

Which set of resources will enable the administrator to achieve the objective?

    Correct Answer: D

To maximize the usage of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Site with external access while reducing the cost and effort of maintaining infrastructure, leveraging Citrix's cloud services is key. The Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service along with Citrix Gateway service and a public cloud will accomplish this. Using public cloud resources allows for flexible scaling and reduces the overhead associated with managing physical hardware. The integration of Citrix Gateway service facilitates secure access from external devices. Despite previous limitations, Citrix Provisioning now supports public cloud deployment, making D the optimal choice to meet all objectives efficiently.

Discussion
keplerOption: A

A is definitely the correct answer. The requirement for "Provisioning" gave it away that it is a NO public cloud implementation.

CarlosfOption: A

It is A. The question states: The desktops for the users are provisioned using Citrix Provisioning. Citrix Provisioning is not supported in the cloud.

Ganesh_kOption: A

Ans Should be A,

RDIOOption: A

I think A is correct. Is the goal is to reduce costs and implement external access, keep the PVS you already have and add the new things you don't have to citrix cloud. If you also "migrate" the PVS to public cloud, that's a cost you don't really need to do to have external access.

d0bermannnOption: D

D, bcoz pvs can be in azure since 2021.11.04

cevko

but i think because the questions are older, in thits case A is correct

AidanM

Not sure about this one anymore - PVS is now in tech preview on Azure: https://discussions.citrix.com/forum/1829-pvs-on-azure-tech-preview/

cevko

but i think because the questions are older, in this case A is correct

VipsuOption: D

Correct Answer is D , now PVS can use public cloud

moricerdzOption: A

It says, " reducing the cost and the effort required to maintain the infrastructure." the trick is MAINTAIN RESOURCES, not replace all. Then is unnecessary PVS to Cloud, only add Citrix Cloud and Gateway Services. Answer A 100%

PortaOption: D

I would say D

OllyThompson

Can't use PVS in public cloud

d0bermannn

but pvs can be in azure since 2021.11.04

d0bermannn

pvs can be in azure since 2021.11.04

Mr_MarcusOption: A

Correct answer is A. Exam was written based on 1912 LTSR (no cloud provisioning).

Smitty1954Option: D

Final proof for option D. Under Key Skills for the exam. Understand the differences between Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2203 LTSR on-premises. https://training.citrix.com/learning/course?courseId=1975

Smitty1954Option: D

Ok. Since provisioning in Azure came available with 2203 LTSR, I'm changing my stance. Provisioning Server located in the resource location where Citrix Provisioning targets must run: Citrix Provisioning server must be 1912 or later for on-premises, and 2203 or later for Citrix Provisioning on Azure. https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/provisioning/current-release/configure/cloud-connector.html

Smitty1954Option: A

I'm going with A based on the fact that they are still using MAK activation as a reason for catalog creation failure which is now supported. Granted, this MCS update came out July 18, 2023. It's a coin toss all. I believe they should remove these unintended trick questions or at least specify the version of CVAD they are testing you on. https://updates.cloud.com/details/mcs-supports-windows-mak-license-activation-pmcs30910/

To update your current CCV-P, one of the options is to take this exam. This is meant to check if your knowledge is stil up-to-date. Do they expect to also know what is working now and what wassn't a couple of years ago?? What the hell is the answer to this question if people are saying that when the exam came out, PVS was not supported yet!? It is for sure supported now! https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/provisioning/current-release/configure/cloud-connector.html
