Question 166

A Citrix Administrator has disabled User Subscriptions (Mandatory Store) for the StoreFront internal store.

Which two experiences will users have when they authenticate to the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Site through the internal store? (Choose two.)

    Correct Answer: A, D

When User Subscriptions (Mandatory Store) is disabled for the StoreFront internal store, users can manually add additional StoreFront stores if they wish, and applications will automatically be placed in the Start menu. Users are not able to choose which applications they want to add to their desktop or their Favorites, nor can they remove applications from a Favorites screen.

I tested this in my LAB. When you "Disable User Subscriptions (Mandatory Store)" on your StoreFront store - Favorites tab is no longer available and users see all their icons in all the below 3 locations: WorkspaceApp for Web, WorkspaceApp for Windows, StartMenu (if they are configured). So user is not able to choose any publication as favorite. The correct answers should be B and D. But in B answer they should not mention about "Favorites" view because it is not available anymore.

I selected but that's wrong.

A -> No-sense C- -> Not possible (no options available) E- -> No more favorites displayed Stay B and D... But for B we need to consider that user cannot delete app in favorite screen .. because it's no more displayed/available.

The answer is correct B and D. The setting is "disabled User Subscriptions (Mandatory Store)" so if you have it or selected it, mandatory store is enabled or use.

Tested on Lab: When we disable user Subscription (Mandetory Store), the Home tab disappears where Favorites links are available. But users are allowed to add additional StoreFront stores if desired. Option A is applicable and correct. Option B is not applicable as there will not favorite screen because When we disable user Subscription (Mandetory Store), the Home tab disappears Option C in incorrect as the application doesn't get added to the Desktop Option D is corrrect as we have tested that apps are getting added to the start menu Option E is not correct as there is no Home tab to show Favorites. This qhestion came on Jan 28th'24 exam.

user can still manually add additional StoreFronts even if the User Subscriptions (Mandatory Store) feature has been disabled for the StoreFront internal store. The User Subscriptions feature simply allows the administrator to configure a mandatory store for users, which is automatically added to their list of available stores when they log in to StoreFront. Disabling this feature does not prevent users from manually adding additional StoreFronts themselves. Users can still add StoreFronts by entering the URL of the StoreFront server in the "Add Store" dialog box in the StoreFront Receiver for Web interface or by using the Citrix Receiver/Workspace app to manually add a StoreFront account. However, keep in mind that without the User Subscriptions feature, users will not be automatically subscribed to any additional StoreFronts added by the administrator in the future. They will need to manually add any new StoreFronts themselves.

B and D seems correct. They will receive all the published applications and no more favorites. https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/storefront/1912-ltsr/configure-user-access.html#:~:text=Disabling%20user%20subscriptions%20for%20a%20store%20within%20StoreFront%20also%20prevents%20the%20display%20of%20the%20Favorites%20tab%20to%20users%20in%20Citrix%20Workspace%20app.

B. Applications cannot be removed from Citrix Workspace app on the Favorites screen. E. Users can choose which applications they would like to add to their Favorites. When User Subscriptions (Mandatory Store) is disabled for the StoreFront internal store, users will still be able to access their applications through Citrix Workspace app, but they will not be able to add applications to their Workspace app automatically. Instead, they will have to manually add applications to their Favorites screen. Once added to the Favorites screen, applications cannot be removed by the user. Therefore, options B and E are the correct answers.

Therefore, options B and E in my previous answer are incorrect. The correct answer should be: D. Applications will automatically be placed in the Start menu. A.
