Which Provisioning Services component can communicate directly with the Farm database?
Provisioning Services server can communicate directly with the Farm database. The server is responsible for managing the connections and configurations required to deliver virtual disks to target devices. While the Store holds the vDisks and the vDisk is the object being streamed, it is the Provisioning Services server that directly interacts with the Farm database to access and manage these components.
A Provisioning Server checks the database for the Store name and the physical location where the vDisk resides, to provide it to the target device. So it should be B
I would go with answer B
another stupid ambiguous question. Yes they mention a store has to communicate with PS DB but what a store really is? - it is an object on PS server so it must be a PS server in general to connect to PS DB directly and Store must be contacting it through PS server.
I'd say the answer is A) Store The store must be able to communicate with the Provisioning Services database. https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/provisioning/7-15/system-requirements.html
