Which tier of storage should the architect consider implementing, based on the requirements in the Exhibit?
Based on the requirements specified in the exhibit, the architect should consider implementing local storage. The environment is described as a Proof of Concept (POC) with a small number of users (50) and a requirement that the solution should not impact the production infrastructure. Additionally, redundancy is not required, and there is only one IT administrator managing the environment. Local storage will provide the necessary high performance required without the complexity and cost associated with SAN or NAS storage, and it is suitable for non-persistent image management used in this scenario.
B local - no impact for production environment
Non-persistent would suggest a single vdisk local to the PVS server and likely a Hosted Apps/Desktops model. Could we also say Local could be used on all XenApp Controller components? It refers to designing a XenApp environment using PVS as the delivery. Local has High performance which also meets the requirement, and who’s to say that DAS isn’t used in this Production environment... so many questions within a question, or should I say assumptions :-/. I’d go with Local personally.
