1Y0-203 Exam - Question 53

Scenario: A Citrix Administrator needs to configure a Technician User Group, which has the following requirements:

✑ Applications are NOT compatible for multiple users

✑ Users do NOT need the ability to install applications

✑ Users will engage in resource-intensive work

Which FlexCast delivery model can the administrator use?

Show Answer
Correct Answer: D

Hosted VDI (Random/Non-Persistent) is suitable for the Technician User Group. This option provides each user with their own desktop environment to handle resource-intensive work. Since users do not need the ability to install applications and the applications are not compatible with multiple users, a non-persistent VDI ensures that each user gets a fresh instance of the desktop each time they log in, which also helps in managing resources efficiently.

Sorry it is A based on "Applications are NOT compatible for multiple users"

when using (in the machine catalog) Desktop OS, you create X number of desktops. Each one is independent of each other when a user is signed in. Thus solving the "not compatible for multiple users" issue

A is correct due to resource hungry and apps not compatible

Agree with D https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/xenapp-and-xendesktop/7-15-ltsr/technical-overview/delivery-methods/vdi-desktops.html

D is correct. Desktop OS based VDIs with enough CPU and RAM will take care of the issue and users do not need to install any apps. No need for persistent.

Now I am thinking B is correct. They have no need for a desktop, just provide the apps hosted on non-persistent Windows 10 machines.
