A Citrix Administrator is in the process of installing Citrix Cloud Connector, but the installation fails.
What could be causing the Citrix Cloud Connector installation to fail on the machine?
The Citrix Cloud Connector must be joined to an Active Directory domain that contains the relevant resources and users to create offerings. If the machine is not part of such a domain, the installation process will fail as this is a fundamental requirement.
Reference: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-cloud-government/system-requirements/cloud-connector-requirements.html A is possible as the documentation states: "Server clock is set to the correct UTC time." I don't see this as causing a installation failure, more likely a post-install issue. B is possible, but unlikely as the documentation states: "Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration (IE ESC) is turned off. If this is turned on, the Cloud Connector might not be able to establish connectivity with Citrix Cloud Government." Keyword, "might." I don't believe that this would cause an installation failure, more likely a post-install issue. C is nonsense. D is a correct answer as the documentation states as an AD requirement: "Joined to an Active Directory domain that contains the resources and users that you will use to create offerings for your users." It's choose one, so I'm going with D.
It looks B on this arcticle section 1.4 https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX221535?_ga=2.50493097.103338608.1604171317-1649085532.1549612809
D is correct..
D is a correct, as in C we have exactly what is required
To install the Cloud Connector there are several requirements (Server, Certificates, AD, etc). Server joined to a domain is a requirement in the chapter "Active Directory requirements", so D is correct. https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-cloud/citrix-cloud-resource-locations/citrix-cloud-connector/technical-details.html#system-requirements:~:text=Joined%20to%20an%20Active%20Directory%20domain%20that%20contains%20the%20resources%20and%20users%20that%20you%20use%20to%20create%20offerings%20for%20your%20users.
C is the answer, according to citrix :- The installer cannot run on machine templates cloned across multiple machines . and the question clearly says that installation was not successful
but also citrix says : • Citrix Cloud Connector installer checks if the machine is domain-joined before actually installing the software. so it is C or A ?
iT IS C or D , BECAUSE cloud connecter needs to be in sync with utc time zone + the "ESC" to be switched off during installation, but it cant run on cloned machines and it does check the domain before installation
It can run on clones, just dont install it on templates. https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-cloud/citrix-cloud-resource-locations/citrix-cloud-connector/installation.html#information-to-review-before-installation
It's not A as the docs say it only has to be in sync with UTC, but the clock can be local time It's not C as cloned templates are used a lot and never had an issue It's not D because the AD check is post-installation B is correct - check section 1.4 here https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX221535 It's the only one which will actually stop the initial installation
Scrap that, it says IE ECS is turned off and that's correct. With B out of the window, i'd probably go with D
exactly! it says "IE ECS is turned off" and Citrix cloud connector needs IE ECS turned off for install without problems
