Question 137

Scenario: The Help Desk team is troubleshooting a printing issue. Users connect to print servers located in two different datacenters. The print servers host identical drivers and queues. Upon investigation, a Citrix Administrator finds that users can only print to one of the print servers successfully.

The Network team informed the administrator that only Citrix-related traffic is allowed between the two Sites.

How can the administrator fix this issue?

    Correct Answer: B

The issue stems from direct connections to print servers being blocked due to network restrictions, except for Citrix-related traffic. By creating a Citrix policy that disables direct connections to the print servers, print jobs will be routed through the Citrix environment, which is allowed by the network policies, resolving the issue.

Discussion
AidanMOption: B

I'd agree that it is B. By default, all print jobs destined for the network printers route from the Server OS machine, across the network, and directly to the print server. If only HDX traffic is being allowed on the WAN then this traffic would be blocked. Disabling the policy 'allow direct connections to print server' would result in all the print jobs being sent over HDX which is allowed.

TedEx2Option: C

I think C is correct. Users can't connect to the print server in one DC, but the citrix session allows the traffic. So we need to disable the direct connection to the print server from the client.

Sorry, I meant B is correct, not C

Maxime666

I Agree.. The goal is to block the user access to the print server that allow the connection if I correctly understand the question. So B would be the good answer
