___________. (Choose the correct option to complete the sentence.)
A master image that will be used to deploy machines for a Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment should have the Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA) installed on it so that users can access resources on the machines. The VDA is necessary to enable the machine to register with the Delivery Controller, which in turn allows users to access the resources hosted on those machines. The Citrix Workspace app is used for client devices to connect to the resources, not for the machines themselves.
A Not C: because machines can communicate with the DELIVERY CONROLLER but user need resorces on VDA
it's A - "VDA is a relatively small piece of software that gets installed on all virtual and physical machines running a Windows/Linux server and/or desktop operating system as part of our XenDesktop Site, making their resources remotely available to users."
"A" is correct VDA package is a set of many services. One of them is ICA/HDX protocol that integrated with RDS services to allow users to access a session host. VDA also communicated with DDCs but not a Site DB directly.
It is A. The only machines that communicate with the Site database are the Delivery Controllers.
A https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/technical-overview.html The VDA enables the machine to register with the Controller, which in turn allows the machine and the resources it is hosting to be made available to users No database he register with the Controller,
I think A. Here is the reason why. If the VDA isnt installed the user will never be able to access the machine that would give the user access to the resources on that machine. Yes the VDA does have to communicate with the DC then site database. I think this is the old Chicken and egg theory of what came first. Both Technically can be correct but in this case i think the resource order will have to win out as the VDA communicates with the DC first then site DB.
You need VDA and communicate to DC to register on Delivery Controller, the right answer is C because you need a VDA software component and Network communication with DC to success deploy.
But C doesn't say that, it says site database. The VDA has no access at all to the site database, so the answer is A
obviously A is correct
Unless my knowledge is outdated, from my understanding VDA only talks to DDC for device registration, and Citrix gateway or client receiver / workspace for ica session.
I think it's C
ONLY the DELIVERY CONROLLERS communicate with the Site database and NOT the VDAs. That is the FMA architecture since version 7.x. Therefore, A is the correct answer.
How can they communicate with the DC without the VDA? They could still launch locally installed apps like Office.
