Question 21

Scenario: A Citrix Architect is designing a Citrix Virtual Desktops environment. The Graphic Editors Group uses a graphic-intensive and media-rich application.

Graphic editors will be provided with a Windows Server 2016 Desktop with NVIDIA graphics hardware acceleration. HDX 3D Pro and Server VDI options were selected during the command-line installation of the Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA).

Which limitation will affect the Graphic Editors Group?

    Correct Answer: B

When utilizing the Server VDI feature with HDX 3D Pro for a graphic-intensive application, the main limitation is that support is available only for a single user session per Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA). This means that each VDA will be restricted to a single user session, which could impact scalability for groups needing multiple concurrent sessions on the same server.

Discussion
Frank72Option: B

B should be correct. Use the Server VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) feature to deliver a desktop from a server operating system for a single user. https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/install-configure/server-vdi.html

Dan53

Right, the question is trying to trick you into GPU stuff. The restriction of one user is because they added the Server VDI option in the install.

d0bermannnOption: B

B. Support is available only for a single user session per VDA.

WaggawaggaOption: B

B is right because “ Note that there is no HDX 3D Pro mode option available when installing the Multi-session OS VDA (Server OS). A specialized Citrix Driver for display remoting is used in all Windows Server OS installtions.” https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX131385

certhunterfembotOption: B

B - Server VDI was the chosen solution. That option only allows for a single user per session on the VDA. "Use the Server VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) feature to deliver a desktop from a server operating system for a single user." https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/install-configure/server-vdi.html

psg1211Option: C

I think C is correct.

This has nothing to do with BCR

keplerOption: A

B is wrong. I just recently setup for my client. Published desktop on server 2019. 6 users sharing the same server 2019, with GPU profiles defined for each user (on Vmware).

Looks like you just don't have Server VDI enabled. Generally, GPU acceleration for Server OS is supported: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/graphics/hdx-3d-pro/gpu-acceleration-server.html
