Question 12

Scenario: A Citrix Administrator has been advised that additional Windows users will need to access the on-premises Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Site. The

Site utilizes Citrix Profile Management for all users. The new users have been using Windows Roaming Profiles and will need their existing profile information when they use the Citrix Site. The administrator enables the Profile Management policy setting for 'Enable Migration of Existing Profiles'.

At which stage will the new users' Roaming Profiles be migrated to the existing Profile Management store?

    Correct Answer: D

The new users' Roaming Profiles will be migrated to the existing Profile Management store when the new users initiate their first logon to a Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA) machine. Upon logging in, Profile Management performs the migration automatically by locating the existing profiles and transferring them to the Profile Management store.

Ex1LeeOption: D

Correct answer is D, i quote Citrix: Profile Management performs the migration when a user logs on and there are no user profiles in the user store. Before the migration starts, Profile Management locates the application profiles to be migrated. It does so through automatic discovery. Reference: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/profile-management/current-release/configure/automatic-migration-of-existing-app-profiles.html

HunjiOption: D

Enable Migration of Existing Profiles. If enabled, existing Windows profiles are migrated to Profile Management at login. D

Maxime666Option: D

D is correcct -> Question is not when the policy is taking "effect" (gpupdate /force or automatic group policy update) but when the file migration begin to process -> At Logon

aims123456Option: D

I agree, D is correct

TedEx2Option: D

I think is D as well. Checking here : https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/profile-management/current-release/configure/automatic-migration-of-existing-app-profiles.html It says: "For your changes to take effect, run the gpupdate /force command from the command prompt. Log off from all sessions and then log on again. [...] Profile Management performs the migration when a user logs on and there are no user profiles in the user store. Before the migration starts, Profile Management locates the application profiles to be migrated. It does so through automatic discovery

Javi_HOption: D

Should be D: "Profile Management performs the migration when a user logs on and there are no user profiles in the user store. " https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/profile-management/current-release/configure/automatic-migration-of-existing-app-profiles.html

Foggy31Option: D

Is A.. For your changes to take effect, run the gpupdate /force command from the command prompt https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/profile-management/current-release/configure/automatic-migration-of-existing-app-profiles.html if you dont use gpupdate /force the policy is update "automatically" 90 minutes after approval

ays666Option: A

A is correct the gpo update automatic each 90 minutes https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/es-ES/58facd83-c669-4673-884e-a0a88072d0a9/frecuencia-de-actualizacion-de-directivas-de-grupo?forum=wsgpes

trevorhj

It's not good enough for the policy to be updated / refreshed. The user still has to log on for the settings to take affect.

MP26Option: A

A is correct, but you can force it with gpupdate /force. Than policies will direct applied

tenostros

A is wrong, how is the policy supposed to know which user profiles are to be migrated and where they are located, A is nonsense.
