The NSIP (NetScaler IP) is the IP address used for management and for other administrative functions on a Citrix ADC appliance, including communication with NTP servers by default. The NSIP enables management traffic, including system management, monitoring, and other such services, to be separated from data traffic, improving security and network manageability.
It's correct, the NSIP is used primary for NTP request (SNIP as secondary). But it's not logic.. normally all internal trafic (to and from servers) used the SNIP.. Again a weird behaviour for me.
This is so both ADCs in a HA pair can keep correct time (using their own NSIP). Otherwise the secondary ADC wouldn't be able to use the SNIP and may get time skew
