Hypervisor?
The differencing disk of a Random/Non-Persistent desktop machine will be disconnected and recreated following a restart in a Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Site running on Citrix Hypervisor. This process ensures that any changes made during the session are discarded, maintaining the machine's non-persistent state and reverting it to its original configuration.

Is A the right answer because Citrix Hypervisor support clone on boot as weel as Vmware. Only if your hypervisor not support clone on boot the disk will be disconnected, created new and deleted the oldest
It never clones on boot.. the differencing disk manages the writes to the base image it is created from; it is completely different than VMware's technology. C is correct. It's non persistent, so unless you specify it needs to be updated, it gets killled and recreated. There is only 1 base image per storage repository, it is never updated until the admin specifies that it needs to be updated.
C is correct
