For SNMP alerts to work correctly, the community name must be configured in the SNMP trap destination settings on the Citrix ADC. The community name acts like a password that controls access to SNMP data. If this is not set up properly, the SNMP manager will not receive traps, leading to an alert failure.
I've never seen the default public snmp community used.
