Question 4

Scenario: A Citrix Architect needs to design a new XenApp and XenDesktop environment.

The architect has identified printing requirements for certain user groups and locations, as shown in the Exhibit.

Click the Exhibit button to view the requirements.

Currently, no printer settings or policies have been configured, and as such, the environment is using default settings. Universal Print Server will NOT be used in this design.

Which two settings should the architect configure to allow the Executives group to achieve the desired print behavior and to ensure their print jobs are optimally routed? (Choose two.)

    Correct Answer: B, E

To allow the Executives group to achieve the desired print behavior and ensure their print jobs are optimally routed, two key settings should be configured. First, enable the Auto-create PDF Universal Printer policy. This is essential because when using the HTML5 Receiver, local printer redirection is not possible, and the PDF Universal Printer is necessary to facilitate local printing. Second, configure the Session Printers policy. This will ensure that the office network printers are created as session printers, aligning with the requirement for optimized routing of print jobs both at the corporate headquarters and at home. Thus, the correct settings are to enable the Auto-create PDF Universal Printer policy and configure the Session Printers policy.

A, C, G - are already set, default config D - the opposite of what is asked F - not asked Anwer is: B and E

kepler

why should enabled PDF client printer? It is not asked

maurizio_n91

because group use html5, look here: https://discussions.citrix.com/topic/366957-html-5-printer-redirection/ B and E Right

maurizio_n91Options: BE

B and E are right B, because home printer cannot be redirected when receiver is HTML5 https://discussions.citrix.com/topic/366957-html-5-printer-redirection/ E, to create session printer to print on the office network printer

tonkotsuOptions: AE

I think answer is A,E. A for Home Printer. E for Network Printer.

Azure_Az_U_Can_B

I think the key here is the HTM5 client. So, you need to ensure that the default printer policy uses PDF printer and you need to enable auto-creation of the PDF printer, so B and F. ACG are already set, and C is the only one requested here. D will not help when using network printer so is wrong. E, session printers, don't really help, so are not required.

Citrix123Options: DE

HCK, I don't know if that's correct. The HTML5 receiver is used so redirect default home printer isn't possible: the Citrix PDF Printer is used for printing locally. Could it be: D - Set Direct connections to print servers policy to Disabled E - Configure Session Printers policy ??? Set Direct Connection to print server disabled - To use Client pathway when printing from home. (Print directly to printer instead of using print server) Confiure Session Printer policy for the printer on HK to use Network pathway en use printserver (instead of client pathway)

hckOptions: EF

this should be E,F. F to enable client's Default printers, to redirect Home printer and E to configure office network printer as Session printer
