Question 48

Scenario: A Citrix Architect is designing a new Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment. Based on some initial discussions about the business goals and objectives of the company, the architect collected the information shown in the exhibit.

Click the Exhibit button to view the information.

What should the architect recommend to meet customer requirements?

    Correct Answer: A

The application in question, HealthApp, has its own authentication engine, meaning it doesn't require additional authentication mechanisms from Citrix. Additionally, all users will access the app from non-domain joined kiosk devices, and there is no need for session reconnection and session roaming capabilities. Therefore, the best recommendation is to have users connect to an unauthenticated store through the Citrix Workspace app for Web sites, as it aligns with the special considerations and simplifies user access without redundant authentication steps.

Discussion
ctxvadOption: A

Why would I need an authenticated store when HealthApp has it's own authentication engine to control access. So Answer A is the only answer with an unauthenticated store.

citrixmucOption: A

Answer A: best solution for healthcare app with it's own authentication

Zed77Option: A

A is correct, no authentication is needed and this is quite often in healt care world

d0bermannnOption: A

as Desktop Appliance Sites creation have to be used pwsh, A is correct

cris66Option: A

Answer A. I don´t understand why the use of Powershell needed to create a Desktop Appliance site means can not be the answer. Does not say anything about should be easy to configure. Desktop appliance sites are deprecated in version 1811 and removed in 1912 so probably a good job as now ruled out anyway. Desktop Appliance sites can not authenticate via Netscaler and I thought this may be a reason as says for "large hospitals and healthcare systems" so may indicate require remote access. Fact that App has own authentication gives more weight to using unauthenticated store.

jdstroyOption: A

A Desktop Appliance site cannot be created in Studio or Storefront Console. It's PS. Best answer - and it's also the best user experience - is A!

maurizio_n91Option: C

C is right = Desktop Appliance

CurryMuncherOption: C

Anyone notice answer A and B are exactly the same? it maybe a ExamTopic typo? The Answer is c https://www.smali.net/creating-desktop-appliance-site-on-storefront-by-richard-egenas/

ayushwithu

They are not the same. A is "unauthenticated" and B is "authenticated"

cloudaccountOption: C

Correct answer is C (Desktop Appliance Sites). As per latest CR storefront documentation: Desktop Appliance sites - Users with non-domain-joined desktop appliances can access their desktops through the web browsers on their appliances, which are configured to access Desktop Appliance sites in full-screen mode (kiosk). When you create a new store for a Citrix Virtual Desktops deployment using Citrix Studio, a Desktop Appliance site is created for the store by default.

Bobo11

Hi, With answer C they will have a Full Desktop presented in full screen and have to logon there. Since the authentication will take place in the application it is better to choose for Answer A. Then you can present only the application. Login will take place in the application. So correct answer is A. (I already sat the exam and had this one and no errors in that section)

jijc76

Yes, the correct will be C, but, they said... storefront console..., Desktop Appliance site must be installed from powershell commands: https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX211437

I agree, the question here to make the HealthApp available to all users accessing it from non-domain joined Kiosks. Desktop appliance site is for Full Desktop experience, and further Anon. Store here will serve the purpose very well for non-domain joined Kiosks as application has its own auth. mechanism. The only key for making it work on non-domain joined machines is that admin has to use Public SSL cert on SF server, however this isn't asked in question.

d0bermannn

no way, for Desktop Appliance Sites creation have to be used pwsh, A is Correct
