Question 42

Scenario: A Citrix Architect is using LDAP as single-factor authentication (SFA). The architect is migrating the environment to Citrix Cloud and wants to retain the same authentication, procedure for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service in Citrix Cloud.

Which deployment strategy should the architect use for the Access Layer to ensure that the solution reduces management and does NOT incur additional costs?

    Correct Answer: A

Using Citrix Cloud Gateway service and Citrix Cloud Workspace ensures that the solution reduces management overhead since it leverages cloud-based services. This approach also does not incur additional costs as Citrix Workspace and Gateway Service are included with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service. Therefore, the architect can retain the same authentication procedure without additional setup or licensing costs for on-premises infrastructure.

Correct Answer should be A

kepler

Yes, in Workspace Configuration, select AD as ID provider. this will use LDAP/Kerberos auth.

certhunterfembot

Wrong. Citrix Workspace has additional costs separate from CVAD Service.

certhunterfembot

Sorry, I stand corrected. Workspace and Gateway Service is included with CVAD Service. https://www.citrix.com/content/dam/citrix/en_us/documents/reference-material/xa-xd-deployment-options-feat-comp-matrix.pdf A looks like the most plausible answer. It has a marketing ring to it, which Citrix likes to do in their exams. "A" also makes sense because cloud services require less management, and since these features are included in CVAD Service, don't cost extra. (Setting up an ADC VPX would have an additional cost.) Sorry @kirshad

ayushwithu

A is the correct answer. Requirement is "ensure that the solution reduces management and does NOT incur additional costs"

cloudaccountOption: C

We can go with answer C assuming that by Citrix Cloud we define only the standard control plane, i.e. Delivery Controllers and site database with license server and Director monitoring. Therefore the authentication would remain the same via on-prem resource location with Storefront, Citrix Gateway and AD DC.

d0bermannnOption: A

A. Use Citrix Cloud Gateway service and Citrix Cloud Workspace is ok for cloud with SFA

DipakSanadiOption: A

A is correct and D is wrong

maurizio_n91Option: A

A is right for single factor authentication with minimum costs or admin overhead

Passed 1Y0-403 was very difficult exam. "NEW QUESTIONS" about 30 new questions not on this site.

CitrixNickOption: D

Dear People... First the best wishes. @kirshad: Why go A. and not go answer D.? Best regards, Nick

kepler

D is NOT supported. On-Prem SF and Gateway service (cloud) cannot co-exist.

TB12isthegreatOption: D

This question is not clear. Running ADC on prem has a cost and when using Citrix Cloud, licence for Citrix Gateway are included...https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-gateway-service/faq.html#what-is-the-minimum-license-required-for-citrix-gateway-service....I'm not sure between A or D....A will possibly change the user interface since D can be configure without changing the user interface with no additionnal cost for ADC....I'll go with D

cloudaccountOption: A

This question is not clear enough. A. Use Citrix Cloud Gateway service and Citrix Cloud Workspace. - It is Citrix Workspace Cloud, not Citrix Cloud Workspace. Since the environment is being moved to Citrix Cloud, running Citrix ADC and Storefront on-premise does not really follow the scenario. However it may be the lowest cost solution. From a management perspective, running everything on the Citrix Cloud would allow for least administrative overhead.
