Question 16

Scenario: A Junior Citrix Administrator needs to create a content switching vServer on a Citrix ADC high availability (HA) pair. The NSIP addresses are

192.168.20.10 and 192.168.20.11. The junior administrator connects to NSIP address 192.168.20.10 and saves the changes.

The following day, a Senior Citrix Administrator tests the new content switching vServer, but it is NOT working. The senior administrator connects to the HA pair and discovers that everything the junior administrator configured is NOT visible.

Why has the Citrix ADC lost the newly added configurations?

    Correct Answer: B

The most likely reason the Citrix ADC lost the newly added configurations is that the junior administrator connected to the NSIP of the secondary Citrix ADC in the HA pair. When changes are made on the secondary node, they do not propagate to the primary node and can be overwritten. Only changes made on the primary node are pushed to the secondary node in a high availability setup.

Discussion
ImMaaxOption: B

B. User connected to secondary where his changes got overwritten

I would choose that answer too, makes a lot more sense than C

XcoDeXOption: B

B. Understanding by "the senior admin conects to the HA Pair" as "connects using the Management SNIP" C. Understanding by "the senior admin conects to the HA Pair" as "connects to both nodes". In this case, even if the configuration was done in the secondary node, it should still be visible. Here it should be assumed that the master state did not changed after the reboot and that the secondary will fetch the configuration from the Primary. (Too many assumptions) I would choose B.

foreigner78Option: B

Tricky with lot of misleading parts, even if the junior administrator dismissed the "You are connected to the secondary node..." when first login to the NSIP and after saving the configuration
